Kawasaki ZX10R Sportbike

Kawasaki first introduced the Ninja ZX-10 as model year 2004. The totally new addition to their supersport lineup had come to replace the ZX-9R, which at that time had little left to make statements in the corresponsive division.

The all-different addition was built and designed with a single goal: an ideal power to weight ratio. So the new 998cc inline four-cylinder engine crank axis, input shaft and output shaft were placed in a triangular layout of the engine length, the higher speed to reduce generator was placed behind the cyl. bank to reduce engine width and a PC. cil. crankcase assembly and not just reduction of weight, but also more rigid. So Kawasaki started with the basics and reaches the maximum. Being gas injection from the first years, the Ninja ZX-10R developed 175 hp at 11,500 rpm and came with a dry weight of only 374. 8 lbs.

While 2006 saw the addition of the various DFI with Mikuni 44mm throttle bodies fuel injection setup, 2008 is the latest evolutionary step even if the bike and fuel injection system is updated again (now DFI 43mm Keihin throttle bodies with oval sub-choked, two injectors per cyl .) TCBI and the ignition with digital advance and Kawasaki Ignition Management System (KiMs) was added and made the difference from previous model years.

The ZX-10R s strange about evolution is that while the performance was better and better, the look went from excellent to not impressive. We expect the bike and pattern are extended next year and really reflect the engine s power.
